Out of money. Told by the electorate to stop spending. Urged to cut out the gimmicks.
But what will we get?
1) More gimmicks that kick the can down the road. Diversions, borrowing and promised pay backs.
2) A raft of new taxes. fees, tax ad-ons, surcharges, VLF increases and a significant increase in consumption taxes.
3) The exact same challenge to be faced by 2012 legislators.
