What the hell did Ruth Bader Ginsburg mean when she linked abortion and eugenics?
Telegraph.co.uk ^ | July 12th, 2009 | Damian Thompson

Posted on 07/11/2009 4:57:30 PM PDT by fiodora

The mainstream media have been incredibly slow to pick up on a creepy comment by Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in a New York Times interview published today but flagged last week. In it, Ginsburg talks about on Roe v Wade, the 1973 ruling that legalised abortion:

Frankly I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of. So that Roe was going to be then set up for Medicaid funding for abortion.

What? You can find the full context of the remark here, in the Times interview, but it doesn’t settle matters. And the (pro-choice) media haven’t exactly jumped on the story. Bloggers are incredulous.

Huge sites too like Hot Air featured the story prominently. Even Drudge ran with the story yesterday.

But as of this morning the mainstream media have completely ignored the story about one of the most powerful people in the country essentially endorsing eugenics on populations “we don’t want to have too many of”.

What the heck is going on here?

As the large metropolitan newspapers die, they’re wondering why. This is why.

How dull do people have to be, to write for a newspaper these days?

She meant the same thing that Margaret Sanger meant, when she got the whole cull thing rolling. Duh.

ZPG revisits us from the sixties...they never give up...deplete our workforce, import aliens through non-existant immigration laws and amnesty, build the “workers” base for easy election on vote buying socialist positions and assume more executive power...install a socialist/marxist presidential puppett...all they need to do then is crash the economy through GSE promulgation, take over the banks and major industries...gee, could it happen?

Almost all the best reporting about this administration is coming from the foreign media, mostly British. That says more than anything else how corrupt the American media has become.
Some of the most subtle censorship is carried on when media ignore a subject they feel uncomfortable reporting about.
The Obama adoring media are now way beyond contempt.

It won't be just Christians per se but all our "minorities" are gonna be mighty surprised when they finally realize that they are part of the "plan" and have been for quite some time.

Let's see, order of events: Some "trigger" creating great unrest. Martial law put into place, confiscation of firearms "for our safety" assisted by the "Civilian Security Force", local, state and federal LEOs.

Electronic control of all credit card usage to restrict citizens from purchasing gas (and food) for flight. Bicyclists with large stash of Beenie-Weenies will make a brave attempt to survive longer. Cash sales can be discouraged too by electronically calculating sales against credit sales and inventory. Any cash sales on the sly of any easily monitored product such as gasoline severely punished.

Database fine tuned also further singling out selected groups, meanwhile, "fairness doctrine" has dampened all real news and information. "Ministry of Information and Education" Czar controls all info further isolating selected groups of citizens which are rounded up and put into "compounds" (available bases in remote areas) further weakened by inadequate diets to keep resistance low.

Okay, tune in next month and I'll have more if they haven't passed this point yet...

She's right. Mommy Earth was going to be destroyed by too many humans. We were all going to die of starvation.

That was the '70s Socialist Hoax, perpetuated in an effort to control the people by the left.

Today we have Global Warming. Different Hoax Scare, Same Socialist Goal!

As the large metropolitan newspapers die, they’re wondering why. This is why.

Yup, and their death can't be too soon for me.
If we survey the landscape of our damaged country -- this crime can be laid at the doorstep of a media that has actively conspired to advance communist agendas in this nation over the past 40 years. They've partnered with a democrat party to portray government expansion as good (ignoring historical evidence to the contrary); to cast homosexuality in a positive light (ignoring the diseases, broken lives, and violation of God's Laws); pushed racial divisions; and to destroy any spokespeople for conservative values - religious, fiscal, or social.

The media products (newspapers, TV) should be shunned - and tossed on the ash heap. They've damaged this nation (hopefully not irrevocably -- because the LORD has promised that if humble ourselves, and pray, and seek HIS face, and turn from our wicked ways, that HE will forgive our sins and heal our land) and they deserve to receive a pink slip from this nation.

Ginsberg is near enough the end of her life that she can be the liberal she is without the BS filter. Too many of the new generation hold their liberal ideas because a bumper sticker is as much as they can read with comprehension.

John Holdren, Obama's Science Czar, says: Forced abortions and mass sterilization needed to save the planet
Forced abortions. Mass sterilization. A "Planetary Regime" with the power of life and death over American citizens.

The tyrannical fantasies of a madman? Or merely the opinions of the person now in control of science policy in the United States? Or both?

These ideas (among many other equally horrifying recommendations) were put forth by John Holdren, whom Barack Obama has recently appointed Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, Assistant to the President for Science and Technology, and Co-Chair of the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology -- informally known as the United States' Science Czar. In a book Holdren co-authored in 1977, the man now firmly in control of science policy in this country wrote that:

• Women could be forced to abort their pregnancies, whether they wanted to or not;

• The population at large could be sterilized by infertility drugs intentionally put into the nation's drinking water or in food;

• Single mothers and teen mothers should have their babies seized from them against their will and given away to other couples to raise;

• People who "contribute to social deterioration" (i.e. undesirables) "can be required by law to exercise reproductive responsibility" -- in other words, be compelled to have abortions or be sterilized.

• A transnational "Planetary Regime" should assume control of the global economy and also dictate the most intimate details of Americans' lives -- using an armed international police force.

Read it and weep people of Christ, read it and weep.

Damian Thompson : "But as of this morning the mainstream media have completely ignored the story about one of the most powerful people in the country essentially endorsing eugenics on populations “we don’t want to have too many of”. "

The secret societies have a grinning, glad-handing puppet in there as president who openly promotes abortion and embryonic stem cell research at Notre Dame while accepting a doctoral degree, nodding and winking flashing hand signals, signs an executive order to fund global abortion and population control in Third World countries with U.S. tax dollars, whose handlers like Soros openly say they want population control.

The media elites attend the same seminars and meetings where they discuss population control as their main priority. Bill Clinton lets slip openly they want to "slow down our economy" because of global warming. It's no secret they want coercive population control from abortion or vaccines. Liberalism and secular humanism are ALL about eugenics, population control, and Social Darwinism. They would make abortion coercive and mandatory like in China and make Christianity illegal if they could get away with it.

Ruth was just stating openly in a crude way what they talk about all the time.

Q: Since we are talking about abortion, I want to ask you about Gonzales v. Carhart, the case in which the court upheld a law banning so-called partial-birth abortion. Justice Kennedy in his opinion for the majority characterized women as regretting the choice to have an abortion, and then talked about how they need to be shielded from knowing the specifics of what they’d done. You wrote, “This way of thinking reflects ancient notions about women’s place in the family and under the Constitution.” I wondered if this was an example of the court not quite making the turn to seeing women as fully autonomous.

JUSTICE GINSBURG: The poor little woman, to regret the choice that she made. Unfortunately there is something of that in Roe. It’s not about the women alone. It’s the women in consultation with her doctor. So the view you get is the tall doctor and the little woman who needs him.

Using a coat hanger on yourself in your on home is autonomous. A taxpayer funded abortion in a publicly funded institution by a tall doctor is not. Little did I realize that this seemingly bookish, homely, wallflower was such a viper.
