Do the Maryland SWAT “police” only attack or kill blacks? Or whites do?

>>> The existence of paramilitary SWAT teams in every middlesex, village and farm is a result of the war on drugs and the prospects of high value property seizures. <<<<<

Yes, true. It’s all about the war on drugs.

The cash seizures are best, because those funds are used to purchase *more SWAT gear*!

Most of them are good people, and a lot of them will tell ya in private the war on drugs is a joke, a waste of resources, tax money and everything else.

"Actions speak louder than words" ... Ha. I've hated that saying regardless if its true or not, ever since I was a kid.

They may say that privately, but in public, they have no problem doing what is expected of them by other law enforcement and local government (Their bosses).

This includes generating revenue which seems to be one of the sole functions of the police departments these days.

Robbers, Murders, Rapists, and Child Molesters do not bring in money for the state ... Middle men and small time drug dealers, drug users, alcoholics, Traffic enforcement, and other local zoning and code issues bring in the money.

You said yourself in the the other thread, it's all about profit without regard's to the consequences.

At some point along the line, LE have forgotten that we (the tax payer) are who they really work for. It's Serve and Protect, Not Arrest and Fine.

I agree with that..

And when seconds count, the police are only minutes away.

One other thing...most these guys are no different than you or me...They need an income, can't walk away from their fat lucrative government pensions, etc...

Fact is most of them know whats up, are themselves sick of corrupt government and have had a belly full of most everything we have.

Clearly not all are good cops, and the good ones are just "another brick in the wall" so to speak, doing what they're told to do.

The way it is...For now.

Wanna tip?

Don't call the cops unless your wife backs over you in driveway, while your both trying to escape AIDs infected cannibals..

You'll be better off.

A pocket tape recorder is a good thing to have w/you when driving any where.

I’ve used it twice when I was stopped.

The results: 1 Deputy Sheriff fired..Galveston Cty
1 Texas Highway Patrolman reprimanded...case
dropped faster than a hot potato

They fear the tape recorder...like it is a rattle snake.
works for me.After they’re finished running you down and talking sh*tty to you...you take it outa your pocket and put it up to your ear like your checking to see if it was on...then say,”yeah..I got all that SIR....can I go now?”

The look on their face is worth a million dollars!

LOL!!! I can not tell you how much fun that is..you just gotta be there.

As your leaving he gets on the radio talking lies to his Captain...while you head to his station to talk to His Captain yourself....w/his voice for evidence.LOL!!!

“It sounds more like Prince gorge County needs to be cleaned out from Administration to patrol. The courts need to be investigated as well.”

You can say that again !!! It is THE most corrupt jurisdiction in the DC area .. far worse than DC itself. (DC is more incompetent than corrupt) PG has been that way for a long time.

Unfortunately, nothing good’s going to happen there in our lifetimes. Well, it DID recently vote to rename one of its schools after our sitting president. That’s important! I fear it will only get worse.

Think about this.

Some stranger is breaking into your home, nay is breaking down the door to your home...

You panic and adrenalin rushes. The smell of fear fills the room. You dog, faithful companion senses this. He rises, barks, even growls at the obviously aggressive intruders. Your dog may even lunge at the intruders. They will shoot him where he stands to defend his master.

Reading through the article one really has to wonder what's going on with the search warrants being given to SWAT. Where is the detective/police work behind the issuing of the warrants?

A single drug package drop to the mayor's house and a warrant is issued? It is common practice to have drops and pick-ups at bogus addresses. There should have been surveillance to confirm the actual pick-up.

I'd like to blame the SWAT teams, but they are not responsible really. The problem rests with poor police/detective work.

For an ambulance? Sure, but not for leo. They bring more trouble than they are worth.

Two factors affect activities of the cops:
(1) The absolute destruction of the 4th Amendment, which allows seizure of private property before trial, never mind before conviction of anything
(2)The unbelievably vast VAST amounts of dirty cash swirling around in every American town, large and small, because of drugs.

The first causes officialdom to want to add the property to their revenues.
The second leads many MANY leo's to add to their personal property whenever the opportunity presents itself.

In league with informers who work both sides of drug street, the cops need no more than a whisper and a wink to go after anyone but the real drug dealers who are the source of so much largesse. Most corrupt cops are smart enough to take care of SOME real cop business. And smart enough to not flash their ill gotten gains in the wrong places.

Many are not. To top it off, many cops are also recreational, at least, users and suppliers to their circle of friends. Maybe time to start screening the LEO community on a much more frequent basis.

I am no cop hater. Keeping the line clean between ÜS and THEM is a tough and dirty job. Those who do it righteously deserve every support. System needs a bit of tweak on a couple of these issues, because right now the line between US and THEM has gotten a bit smudged because of the WOD and drug corruption.

>>>>> I am no cop hater. .... the line between US and THEM has gotten a bit smudged because of the WOD and drug corruption. <<<<

I am no cop hater either. Quite the opposite.

But.

I agree 100 percent that the WOD has generated ALL of these problems, from SWAT overkill to dirty cops to property seizures and the crazy legal incentives to do the wrong things. All WOD.

We learned nada, zero, zilch from Prohibition and its very profound and lengthy perversion of American society.
