A year in jail for killing a cat! (It was wrong, but a year!)

Yesterday evening I killed two small raccoons by batting them out of our blueberry bushes and letting our two dogs have at them (I must say they didn't suffer long). Then not long after that I ran over (unintentionally) two big water snakes near our pond while cutting tall grass with the flail mower. And I don't feel bad for killing a skunk last year with a pitch fork in a barrel (save that story for another day).

P.S. We have two wonderful cats and they don't like Cheyenne Cherry.

LOL. And if Cherry came and did one of your cats the way she did Tiger Lilly, let me guess, if you caught her, you’d likely give her the skunk treatement you speak of.

Somehow your protestation that she is being over-penalized rings a little hollow.

Killing animals for food, in self-defense, or because they are pests is perfectly moral. Animals have no rights.

However, when a person is needlessly cruel to an animal, he or she is derelict in his or her duty to God to be a responsible steward of animal life, and thus makes himself or herself less of a human being and more of a devil.
