Gene Krantz wasn’t an astronaut. He was a flight director... and one of the best. His daughter married my former boss.

The story says that the ad includes “clips” of Armstrong, not that he actually has anything to do with it. He’s generally preferred to avoid the public spotlight, so I doubt he’d choose to use his fame to push a political cause even if he strongly agrees with it.

And there’s no “T” in his name, it’s spelled “Kranz”...nitpicking...

This Monday, July 20 is the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. Wish Armstrong and Collins were more vocal. Aldrin should have run for political office because he loves to hear himself talk so much. It’s not safe to get between Aldrin and a microphone.

There are 2 types of people in this argument, one believes in the goodness of mankind and that we are responsible to achieve great things for our fellow humans, the other side believes just the opposite.

Not surprising.

No REAL man would support abortion on demand and the damage it does to our fellow sisters. These are some of the real-est men that ever lived.

We met Buzz Aldrin in Houston a couple of weeks ago. He spoke for about an hour, at 78 he is still sharp as a tack. He signed his new book for anyone who bought one there. He smiled at each person, looked everyone right in the eye. What a true American HERO!

Written up n AOPA magazine a while back, he had a small homebuilt Bipe, either a Smith Miniplane or a Baby Great Lakes, I do not know if he built it or still flies.

Man would I like to meet these "real men" not these whooshes in the House and Senate like Ried, Leahey, Frank and Wiener.

I don’t suppose that one could go to space, witness Creation with his own eyes, and come back believing any differently.

Now that's powerful! We men need to hear more of that - lots more!
