Alford had an attitude before he was asked anything - look at the beginning of the tape, all he wanted to do was show how big the chip on his shoulder was - calling out Boxer? i don’t think so. I have seen people like Alford in my life and they are just messed up , it’s all about “them”. He’d learn a lot if listened just a little.

Harry Alford, the chair of the National Black Chamber of Commerce complained about Boxers focus on black people...
Exactly. Boxer is a first-class idiot, but if he is going up there as a representative of the National Black Chamber of Commerce, he can't complain about her focusing her response on predominantly black institutions. It's not condescending for her to play in the ballpark that he brought to the hearing.

The pickle that Blacks have put themselves in....to be in a group....or to be an individual?
But, love his raising his voice at Boxer!

I agree, but I think he was ticked that the NAACP and the 100 Black Man group had ZERO to do with jobs.

“that arrogant, condescending bitch. “
Those were my feelings the first time I heard her testify at a hearing in the early eighties. She served at that time on the House subcommittee on Fish, Wildlife and the
Environment. She was eviscerating the California tuna Industry at the time on behalf of the Dolphins.

So he’s just supposed to sit there and be quiet and not refute any of the “damned lies” that worthless socialist bag o’ bones spews?
What in the hell is he, a private businessman, going to “learn” from a worthless politician who has never worked a real job in her entire life?
I would have a chip on my shoulder as well if I knew I had to go in a room and answer that biddy’s questions.
Sorry, your post smells of ozone.

Come on. In this case nothing but viewing the video would get across the condescension of Boxer or the disgust at it by the panelist. If you don’t like the video don’t click the link.

NAACP—”What does that mean?”—I love it.
Boxer’s saying, “You’re black, sir. Other black people like Cap ‘n’ Trade, so should you, by way of Aristotle’s transitive principle of racism.”
