Saddam Hussein's palaces

Saddam Hussein spent billions building dozens of vast, gaudy palaces all over Iraq, many of which are still occupied by US troops. But the Iraqi government is divided - as usual - on what to do with them once the soldiers have gone...

...‘For sale/rent: 80 presidential palaces, average unit living space half-a-million square feet. Suit megalomaniac or similar.’

I wonder if we could talk them into giving one to Obama. But only if he’d agree to live there full time.

LOL! It would suit his tastes better than that ol' house he's living in now.

Fascinating photos. Pity that no ‘news’ program ever wanted to share them or similar pics with American viewers. I wonder if Tikrit could become a tourist destination. The palaces on the lake look very inviting.

That would make a great place to build a luxury spa, hotel and restaurants. As for the American MSM, it's a goner.

Do you know who runs that site?

The author and photographer are listed on this page. He is writing a book about the 4th infantry division, the site says. Beautiful photos!

Turn them into luxury hotels perhaps.
