Gosplan or State Planning Committee (Russian: Госпла́н, Russian pronunciation: [ɡɐsˈplan]) was the committee responsible for economic planning in the Soviet Union. The word "Gosplan" is an ­abbreviation for Gosudarstvennyi Komitet po Planirovaniyu (Russian: Государственный комитет по планированию, State Committee for Planning).
