“Sigh. I guess it’s time. I don’t know if I changed or Free Republic changed, although I suspect the latter. Either way, I’m not on board for any of this. I don’t want any part of rebellion, even speculatively.”

“Fine. Then sit down, shut up, pay half your income in taxes and wait in line for rationed health care!”

False dichotomy. The unwise and unwarranted call for extra-ordinary measures, rebellion, hints of violence, etc. is not the only alternative to doing nothing. What absurdity. We have so many better peaceful and democratic alternatives.

What if THIS was advocated instead in a peaceful 9/12 protest ...
WE CALL ON THE DEFEAT IN THE NEXT ELECTION OF EVERY SINGLE ADVOCATE FOR BAILOUTS, TRILLION DOLLAR DEFICITS, TRILLION DOLLAR BOONDOGGLES, TRILLION DOLLAR ADDITIONAL TAXES, GOVERNMENT TAKEOVER OF HEALTHCARE AND CAP-AND-TAX REGULATION OF ENERGY.

What if also it was adovcated ...
SITINS AT THE OFFICES OF ANY OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED CONGRESSCRITTERS.
... shutting down their offices. Going to the Congressional gallery. Publicly rebuking those who advocate socializing the economy.

What if in 2010 EVERY SINGLE ONE of the 218 Congresscritters who voted for cap & trade EVERY SINGLE ONE of the Congresscritters who voted for Obama’s 2 trillion deficit budget and ‘stimulus’ was defeated in 2010? Swept out of office?

*That* would be the revolution in Congress that is really needed. Every election is a democratic revolution. Democracy works. Focus on the REAL task of winning the election and, no, we wont have to ‘wait in line for rationed health care!’

Exactly, I would be happy to attend a peacefull 9/12 protest like you are suggesting. However, I could not be a part of the more radical protest that some here were advocating.

I don’t know about the 9/12 cryin’ crap but the rest of it sounds like a great start!

When do we begin?

If you say 2010, you’ve lost me entirely.

The ‘nice-guy’ stuff serves to embolden these thugs. I’m done with it. And I’m done with ‘Republicans’ that are stuck on stupid, and in the past. This is NOT just another election cycle, you dolts!

I’m from the ‘other side of the tracks’ and I can tell you these are confidence men/women who bask in your passivity.

If someone is peppering me with jabs, right-hooks, and straight rights, I’m going to fire back with all I’ve got.

This waiting around for those oh-so manly Republican politicians to fight for us is just begging the hard-left to take our paychecks and our freedom.

I, for one, won’t do it.

I’m fighting now, have been fighting for some time, and will continue to fight them.

While I appreciate your sentiment, I believe that by the 2010 elections it will be too late. The damage being done NOW to the economy of this country will eventually be fatal. There will not be a possibility of ever paying off the debt that's being amassed now. This is the calm before the storm and things are going to get much, much worse. Atlas will shrug...it's just a matter of time.

Also, your fantasy world in which every congresscritter who voted a certain way will be defeated will never happen. Acorn (or whatever they're calling themselves now) and the dems will never let that happen.

I and many others don't see a peaceful end to this Constitutional crisis. The federal government needs to be put back in its place and they won't go quietly into the night!
