THE killer or killers of a Sydney family walked in through the front door and bludgeoned three adults and two boys as they slept in their beds, police believe.
The scene of violence in three upstairs bedrooms of the Lin household in North Epping was so great police blood spatter experts were last night trying to map out exactly how the attacks occurred.
With no suspects and with no obvious motive, police said they were appalled at the worst crime they had seen for many years.
All the victims were bludgeoned repeatedly to the head and upper body with a blunt object police have yet to find.
NSW Homicide Commander Geoff Beresford said there was no obvious motive for the murders, but it was unlikely the attack was payback for speaking out about the robbery.

What was the motive of the killer(s)? Extortion? Revenge? Or just silencing a particular witness to an armored van robbery?
The five Lin family members were all killed in their sleep, taken by surprise and bludgeoned to death like animal carcasses in an abattoir.

It’s in Australia, and we don’t have a BATF equivalent, because gun ownership is less prevalent.
The victims are chinese, my first guess is that the murderers are muslims out for revenge for what happened in China lately.
