That is idiotic. Sorry, but if someone grabs a female by her neck from behind, and shoves a gun in her face, he deserves a lot more than a little pushing back. He deserves to have his family jewels smashed into a thin red paste by a well-placed knee, followed immediately by a swift kick to the face with a steel-toed boot.

It probably a good thing for you too. Officer Lopez should be arrested for his behavior. Ms. Lawless is fortunate that she did not get hurt for hers. She was severely mistreated, the video leaves no doubt of that. However she reacted in an uncontrolled and dangerous emotional way that showed that she had no cognition of the physical danger that she and her companions were in. If there had been no video, and she had been shot, her attacking position within the room could have been construed by biased investigators as an assault. The way to deal with an angry dog is to neither attack nor flee. The situation was no different with this power abusing jerk Lopez.
