Gerald Walpin, the former Inspector General for the Corporation for National and Community Service whom President Obama took the unusual step of firing last month, filed a lawsuit against the CNCS on Friday in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia

The suit seeks to force "to reinstate Mr. Walpin as the Inspector General and to declare unlawful and ineffective the efforts to date to terminate him from his office." In addition, the suit seeks that Walpin be awarded "costs and legal fees associated with this action" as well as any "further relief as may be appropriate in this matter."

ZERO made a huge mistake firing Walpin and it is about to get even more interesting.

I’m waiting for the court to throw this out because Walpin has “no standing”. That seems to be the popular “get out of jail free” card for the Obama administration.

This man’s life will be ruined now. Obama forcefully silences dissent.

Does anyone have a link to the actual court Complaint?

Wow, ABC found this news worthy, lol. If this was Bush, this story would be at the top of the news every night. With Obama, it is a footnote.

Not that a judge might not try, but having no standing in a case where you lost your job would be an extradinary ruling.

Obama is not the President, he is a usurper illegally holding the office.

If he subpoenas the BIRTH CERTIFICATE, he should be
reinstated in a Chicago nanosecond.

Yup. Seriously, he should make that part of his pleadings. Then he will be reinstated - and receive all other requested relief except the long form birth certificate - before the end of the discovery dealine. No joke, it would almost certainly work.

This administration is developing a pattern of stopping investigations (discovery) by making the point of contention “moot” in a court of law.

It hasn't been linked yet, via PACER. I checked over the weekend, and again within the last 15 minutes. I expect it to show up sometime today.

Watch for Obama’s pal Holder to put the FBI on Walpin and his family to ensure that his life and reputation are destroyed to the maximum extent possible.

The attacks on Joe the Plumber will look like love pats in comparison.

There is nothing too low for this gang of power hungry, socialist tyrants.

Hi, PKM. This might be the beginning of the end of the Obama administration. Popcorn time!

Pass the popcorn is right. I am so proud of the people from MO that half were booing ZERO during the All Star game and when President Bush was shown, his words were drowned out by applause.

Hope all is well!

It seems to me that the key element of this lawsuit is the issue of having Walpin's firing declared illegal. Obama broke the law (one he cosponsored) in the manner in which he fired an IG. I wonder if this rises to the level of an impeachable offense. Considering the fact that Walpin was investigating a personal friend of Obama’s, it sure as hell should.
