Actually I think it’s because people like her just can’t
grasp the idea of being so far away from all the comforts
of reality. The fact of having to spend all that time in
a space the size of a large bathroom just to end up hundreds
of thousands of mile from everything is more than they
could stand. Just a few hours in that capsule would have
had them curled up into a fetal ball shaking with fear.
No hollywood, no Rodeo dr. no LATTES!

had been faked because

he believed were real.
