“Goldberg, a co-host, wondered who shot the footage and why the flag was “rippling” if there was no wind.”
Oy...these “claims” have been debunked a million times over. The flag wasn’t completely on straight, like a set of curtains, it will pleat. Dummy.

Actually, NASA knew that planting a flag would be photographically bad, it would just hang there in near zero G's and you wouldn't be able to tell what it was. To address that, they had a flimsy metal rod, much like a tape measure inserted into the bottom of the flag to make it straight. If you watch the videos of the flags being planted you will notice that they move just like an extended tape measure does and that the flag only “ripples” when it is being touched by the astronauts.

Goldberg, a co-host, wondered who shot the footage and why the flag was rippling if there was no wind. The footage was filmed by a stage cameraman, and the flag is blowing due to a large sound stage fan. The sound stage used to film the landing, was just off the 405 freeway, near Culver City, right near the old set of Mayberry from the Andy Griffith Show. In fact, the entire moon landing was filmed directly behind Floyd's barbershop inside a 1 acre sound studio.

Goldberg, a co-host, wondered who shot the footage and why the flag was rippling if there was no wind. If Whoopi had been paying attention to Congresscritter Sheila Jackson Lee's observations on the landing she'd know that the flag was rippling because there IS wind on Mars. Sheesh!
