I believe the only person to admit seeing Stanley Dunham and baby Barack was her friend up in Washington State that said she showed up on her doorstep with a teeny newborn and that Stanley could not even properly change a diaper.

That would be Susan Blake.

Blake recalls that Dunham, who was calling herself Ann Obama at the time, visited her at her house in Mercer Island during the last week of August, 1961.

Neil Abercrombe, the Hawaiian congress-critter, commented on the Obama/Dunham couple in the fall 1960 timeframe.

Between November/December 1960 and August 1961, not a single person has said that they saw Anna and Obama Sr. together or saw Anna pregnant.

There is no evidence that they lived together during this period.

Well that might be true. Either way SCOTUS would have to clarify 1401/1405 w/r/t what ‘natural born’ means, and whether they would apply or not.

Its my understanding that they already did. In Minor v. Happersett back in 1874.

I think you are mistaken. You wrote:

Now, there might be one difference and that is the particular country you guys move to. Some countries allow for dual citizenship, so in those cases the kids (and the parents if they wanted) could be citizens of both places. However, Indonesia, at the time Barack was adopted, did NOT recognize dual citizenship, so through the adoption process his US citizenship was dropped. He became and Indonesian citizen. He had to be an Indonesian citizen in order to attend school in Indonesia.

I don't believe US laws should or are primarily determined by the actions of foreign governments. Especially as regards to minors. The King of Thailand was born in a hospital in Cambridge, MA. (His partents were studying at Harvard at the time.) He is still a US Citizen.

What if the government of Cuba declared every Cuban American born in the USA since 1960 to be a Cuban citizen? Would those Americans loose citizenship.

I believe the standard is you have to renounce your citizenship, and I don't believe your parents can do that for you. (ie: the USA will not recognize even parental renunciation of citizenship on a minors behalf). One has to personally renounce citizenship by word or deed.

Here is the relevant section of the US Code:

Section 349(a)(5) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) (8 U.S.C. 1481(a)(5)) is the section of law that governs the ability of a United States citizen to renounce his or her U.S. citizenship. That section of law provides for the loss of nationality by voluntarily performing the following act with the intent to relinquish his or her U.S. nationality:

"(5) making a formal renunciation of nationality before a diplomatic or consular officer of the United States in a foreign state , in such form as may be prescribed by the Secretary of State" (emphasis added).

Here is the section on minors. Note, it is a very high bar:

F. RENUNCIATION FOR MINOR CHILDREN Parents cannot renounce U.S. citizenship on behalf of their minor children. Before an oath of renunciation will be administered under Section 349(a)(5) of the INA, a person under the age of eighteen must convince a U.S. diplomatic or consular officer that he/she fully understands the nature and consequences of the oath of renunciation, is not subject to duress or undue influence, and is voluntarily seeking to renounce his/her U.S. citizenship.

I heard an attorney on a talk show here in Phoenix mention that if 0bama was fraudulently elected POTUS knowing full well he is inelgible it would be high treason punishable by death..... Along with everyone else who enabled it. . .

Exactly!!!!!!!! This is what I've been saying!!!!!!!! What is going on with both Obama and the DNC and the media coverup of it is

HIGH TREASON!!!!

Heads should roll when this thing is finally revealed. And no one (including sissy Mathews and Olbermann) should be exempted from that death sentence. This has been nothing less than a blatant attempt to destroy the United States from within by a foreign born usurper. If that doesn't qualify for execution by firing squad I don't know what does!

To get around the 'natural born' issue the State Department ENCOURAGES its pregnant employees living abroad to RETURN HOME TO THE STATES to give birth. How do I know this??? Because my daughter is expecting her first child this Fall and that's exactly what she was told and she is remaining here until the chid is born. Furthermore the State Department is PAYING for her room and board at a local hotel for a total of 90 days (pre and post birth) in order to encourage these women living overseas to return HOME to give birth. Your tax dollars at work folks.

Why is this ringing bells with all the improbably sounding tales about Stanley Ann Dunham/Whatever, late in her pregnancy, flying around?

To: Aria I hate that Mormons do this..They did it to Jews who died in concentration camps...I find it insulting that People who died for their religion have their names used for something the would NEVER agree to in life. In fact, I’m furious just thinking about it.

I believe some Jewish groups gained an agreement from the Mormons not to do this to Jews, citing the history you mention.

In order to convey US citizenship to a child born outside the country, ONE parent must be a citizen AND have resided in US for a minimum of five years after the age of 16. Obama’s mother was 19 when he was born and therefore unable to convey citizenship to Obama if he was born outside the country.

Far as I know Stanley didn’t work for the State Department. Besides read what I wrote again: I said ENCOURAGED, it is not MANDATED.

I had an aquaintance ask me what proof exists that Obama has actually “spent millions” fighting the release of his
birth info. Any thoughts?

I'd have to do a search through FR records but at one point the proof was posted. It was a record of all of Obama's campaign fund expenditures, even after January 20th. On the list was a group of attorney fees totaling over $800,000 as I recall. Now why would Obama post inauguration need to be spending large sums of $$$$ for attorneys????? Makes one wonder what the total is up to by now.

What would he have stood to lose by telling the truth?

Well, for one thing, it means that he lied on his law license application when he stated that he was not known by any other names.

I sincerely hope you all are right and I am just being a nervous Nellie.

I do believe that there are forms of intimidation being exerted on many (or more) of the judges involved. How extreme and how effective remains to be seen. I suspect that at least some has worked based on the flimsy rationales used for turning back the cases that have thus far been unsuccessful.

A COLB is not a birth certificate.

There was documentation released by Obama's election campaign fund, indicating something in excess of $600,000.00 for attorneys. This was a few months back. So, it's not an entirely undocumented claim.

It was posted here on FR. I'd do a search and find it for you, if I weren't working. Can't put a great deal of time into responding as a result.

Welcome to Free Republic. You ought to stick around to find out how much you have been misinformed.

If you’re over 45 y.o. you definitely should stick around and find out the truth about the health care bill. It’s not your father’s health care plan. In fact, it is so good that the people passing the bill (congress) and the White House have explicitly exempted themselves from it.

“... but for some reason the issue his father’s citizenship was not brought up as a disqualifying factor at the time.” Because Arthur lied, stating a false date for his father’s naturalization. In fact, his father was naturalize years later than what Arthur claimed, and Arthur had all his presidential papers burned to cover his lies.
