Thanks - this a great post. Too many of the business people I deal with have a “legalistic” view. In their minds, if it’s legal, it’s OK. Being legal doesn’t mean something is ethical or moral. I believe if parents would apply the suggestions in the article, our children would grow up with a better outlook.-—JM

Without a Vision, the People Perish

I'm so tired of hearing that scripture misused.

Somehow, this is the only scripture people quote from the old King James anymore. More modern translations inevitable bring out that the "vision" is a word from God, through one of God's prophets:

Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint, but blessed is he who keeps the law. Proverbs 29:18, English Standard Version

As it is, this verse is quoted by any management level goof with a "vision for" whatever fool thing he's heard about in the management seminar he went to last.
