Oh please...this actually happened to me once and I am white. I locked myself out of the house and was trying to get in a window when the cops showed up. I told them I was the owner of the house, showed my ID and that was the end of it.

Me too. I'm white, too.
Live in a quiet suburb,
locked my keys inside.

Police saw me pushing
open my bedroom window.
It was tense at first,

but after they saw
my driver's license, no prob.
It made me happy

the neighborhood cops
were keeping such a close eye
on the neighborhood
!

Had a similar deal in a cousin’s apartment in NYC. Door wasn’t locked, cops came barging in, I looked up from supper, alone, and asked ‘em what they wanted. They claimed a silent burglar alarm sent ‘em. I didn’t know about any alarms, but I had keys that fit the door on the table beside me, so they left. Later found out they’d hit the wrong floor.

Don't give into repression by the man! Policeman risking their lives to protect a person's safety and property? I would be outraged! No Justice, No Peas!

But you weren't trying to create a problem from nothing where you could race-bait and claim victim status to get your name back in the news.
