Oh..., don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying that there are not *good reasons* for having that qualification in the Constitution. I agree with it.
What I’m saying is that the issue (technically speaking) is an issue that is true or not — whether someone is a strong supporter of conservative values — or — is a liberal and pushing socialism.
It’s a *technical issue* to be answered, in terms of qualifications. In other words, you could have a Chester A. Arthur (21st President of the United States) who was not qualified to be President, and he didn’t push Marxist/Socialist policies. It can be an issue for the entire political spectrum.
That’s why I said it was two different issues...

To say it another way (for an example), conservatives, liberals, Marxists, socialists, thieves, crooks, upstanding citizens — have all run red lights (at an intersection) at various times. The issue of running red lights is a technical issue — of breaking the law, and not a political matter (although, maybe more Marxists run red lights than conservatives... LOL...).

I understand your point, but the Founding Fathers wanted to protect the Constitution and he is out to destroy it. Marxism is based on collectivism which is counter to individualism on which the Constitution is based. The number of times he has run a traffic light have no effect on me, but his Marxism could take away my individual rights and destroy my way of life.
Mind you..., I’m not saying that his Marxist/Socialist policies are just fine... not at all... LOL...
What I’m saying is that dealing with the issue of Marxist/Socialist policies are one thing, and you deal with them as conservatives would, which is to fight those policies and/or legislation.
And the issue with the birth certificate is another thing, which you deal with and get solved in another way (the only way I think will work on this one is to get a “legal requirement” in state laws for showing it or not being on the ballot).
That’s what I’m talking about them being two different things.
In other words, when you analyze and figure out the issue having to do with Obama’s birth certificate, you are dealing with a problem that is unique, in that there’s no legal requirement for one to show a particular kind of documentation. And you have to address that particular point in order to solve the issue.
But, when you deal with Marxist/Socialist policies and/or legislation, you’re talking about a whole different ball game and a different way of handling it.
In that comparison, the birth certificate issue deals with the technicalities of our existing laws (and what has been done in the past), while the Marxist/Socialist policies and/or proposed legislation deal with something that has not yet come about and is being done right now, for changes in the future.
