Thanks, Tubebender! Good to see my man doin’ good again!
Yeah...I have a real hard time believing that JPM was speeding.
I was really thinking he was going to win today.
Did you see the analysis on tv of an earlier pit stop - where they showed Monty was 2 seconds faster on and off pit road compared to Tony Stewart but they had equal times stopped in the pits?
That tells me Monty was pushing it closer to the "5mph over" limit they allow, and the next time he pushed it too much.
I posted earlier about JJ being almost 2 secs. faster than Juablo on and off pit road in the first two pit stops. JPM just got a little itchy, imo.
:) I was one of few who put Dale Jr in for qualifying - gotta keep the faith - plus having a brand new car and practicing 6th the day before was a clue.
I love the races where we see practice before we have to pick teams.
However, Hornish’s fast exit cost me first place. ;p
You did good!
Thanks for the pic - may have been a bad day but as a fan I was happy Lance’s new car was coming to him late in the race rather than fading. And, as a fan made me proud that he manned up and blamed himself for ‘perhaps’ over revving engine exiting pit road.
One of the engine builders said on Sirius radio that the new build car could be slightly ‘off line’ from what he has been driving for years and he downshifted to 1st instead of 3rd coming in the pits.
AND, Knaus was glad Jr said what he did so he could concentrate on his race and not worry about engine problems for other Hendrick cars.
I should add that he’s always quick to blame himself rather than others.
There should be a report from engine tear down shortly which will tell us what actually happened.
Thought you were talking about bicycles there for a minute.
Good morning ST - wish I could stay and chat, but off to work. Last two days.
Did you get that pickup running properly or did you change the fuel pump only to discover it was the electronic tank switch giving you problems...
I got hammered this morning, dual Mondays.
Hey we have this guy from Texas that rides bikes. He’s pretty good too. ;)
Naw, only constructive thing I did yesterday was watch the race.
I was out of line.
Wow. don-o, that is so old-school FR. These days, nobody would dare admit anything like that, much less take anything back.
My hat's off to you, sir, and I didn't even see the post. May you hit the next hundred "hundreds."
What if I just take the $4500 from the government? Only paid $350 for it...
But I just want the cash, then I can buy it back from them at scrap prices. :)
Grandson says the “junkers” Do Not Pass Go, do not receive a Get Out of Jail Card but go directly to the masher. He said they can’t even take parts off of them.
Just make sure to take all your guns from under the seat...
I bet if you offer the wrecker driver 50 bucks over salvage, you can get them back.
Maybe not where you live, but we value our old trucks here. :)
