My e-mail to the local Simon Properties mall in New Hampshire:

I completely understand that it is Mall management's right to decide which businesses to allow and which to not allow, but it's also the public's right to choose to not frequent your businesses based upon those decisions.

Simon Properties recently banned a small business at one of their Concord, NC, malls because the goods they were selling did not suit the political beliefs of the management of Simon Properties (Mel Simon).

I am referring to this story:

I will actively seek out properties not managed by Simon and I will also tell all of my friends & relatives and ask them to do the same.

I do this with deep regret because, lately, the parking situation has been very favorable due to the lack of shoppers, but now there will be one additional open parking space.

How's that Hope & Change working for you?

Hmmmm...thought I recognized that name. Melvin and Bren Simon, who own Simon Properties, are well-known liberal Democrats who provided huge donations to many prominent Democrats, including Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. They were behind the cancellation of the Altanta Tea Party. There is an online Simon Properties complaint form here
