At least they don’t execute convicted murderers by lethal injection or the electric chair. Because if they did that, then the world would be at their door. The European community would call upon them to cease the barbaric act of executing criminals and the French would write them nasty letters.

But this type of horrible crime is not exclusive just to Muslims, there have been cases in other religions.

Really? Name one...

Something from within the last 100 years would be good...

These reprobates have been left in the barbaric past and think that the rest of the world is stuck in the 7th century with them.

It’s not that they abhor adultery, they abhor WOMEN adulterers. Cheating Men? It’s ok!

The reason the ‘man’ (Danish/Asian, who’s a Muslim living in England? WOW) got the punishment is because he’s the one doing the cheating, with another Muslim’s wife. If the ‘husband’ was doing the cheating, it’d be a-ok.

Crazy. Wouldn’t a simple beheading have been enough?

Largely due in part to the rush to accept unrepent adulterers back into our lukewarm fellowships regardless of what scripture admonishes. Our problem is that we no longer have a healthy fear of the Lord in these matters.

“Yes, they do abhor adultery, and we would be wise to stop and think of the misery fostered on so many by the policies and philosophies of lefty liberals who make it out to be a ‘little thing’. Lives, kids, marriages torn apart, society dislocated and degraded.”

Yes, adultery is not a little thing, and in addition to your comments regrading the harm that is done, add the very real possibility of a faithful spouse being infected with a STD by the adulterer. It is unfortunate that not even the divorce courts hold adulterers accountable.

I can only agree.

I remember reading Don Carson's ‘How Long O lord?’ where he said that there are things worse than death - and he cited betraying his wife as uppermost.

Wise words form a God fearing man.
