First, Judith Elizabeth Williams took her two cats to the shelter. Then she brought the family dog to the veterinarian, had it euthanized, and wrote a suicide note.
Then, investigators say, the 51-year-old Walnut Creek woman got in the car with her 16-year-old son, Adam Findley Williams, and drove up Mount Diablo. Near the top of the 3,849-foot peak, at a lookout with panoramic views of the Bay Area, she shot the teenager to death with a .357 handgun and turned the gun on herself, authorities said Wednesday.

It is amazing that people dig such holes for themselves then pull everyone in along with them. What a selfish hag this woman was to kill her son so the father presumably couldn’t “have” him.

Lots of nutjobs out in that part of the country. Lots of divorces and acrimonious ones too.
Mom sounds like a typical moonbat lib and dad sounds like a typical RINO.
In the liberal media, the woman must be blameless for these atrocities and a man (preferably the father) is always ultimately responsible.
The boy was 16. The divorce was 13 years ago. I think this is just an attempt to lay some of the blame on the father rather than admit that this “single mom” is another statistic in the mounting evidence that single motherhood is bad for children.
There is some weird trend going on with moms in their 40s-50s killing teenage sons and themselves. There was that story here before of the mom and son that went to an indoor range and she killed him while he was on the firing line, then herself. There were 1 or two more stories like this I’ve seen in between this latest one and that one.
Mental illness ( and surely you would agree that this woman was deranged) has no logic. While you may think of this as selfish and purposely done to “hurt” her ex, the depth of her pathology wouldn’t have allowed her to think that rationally. It is a tragedy of the most horrendous type.
