The rumors swirling around here in Tokyo at high levels as I speak--I have read multiple sources--are that when Obama visits Japan in November on a state visit (now set) he is working on a way through the State Department to go down to Hiroshima and apologize. They are trying to keep this under wraps, though, because of outrage it might cause in the USA.
This will particularly be possible if the DPJ sweeps the lower house elections on 30 August here, which it looks like. Yep, Obama heading to Hiroshima to be the first US president to apologize for the atomic bombing. You read it here first, four months before the fact.

Having seen his other apologies I was already thinking that he would do this in his first term on the anniversary.
He’s outright antiAmerican, I can’t think of anything good he has had to say about this nation, apart from all others. He is a disgrace to the office. He spits on the legacies of all who came before Him.

Ask the Marxist One if he wants Victory over his opponents on the Health Care issue. Or if he’s willing to hear debate and compromise and make concessions on the issue.

I’ve read that some historians think that 1 would’ve been enough - but the communications were so messed up that they couldn’t find out what happened until they sent someone to assess and weren’t quick enough to cry uncle prior to the second falling.
