The Infamous Mr. Ed (Manhattan Madam’s Radio Interview implicates Ed Rendell?)
Deus Ex Malcontent ^ | 7/22/09

Man, Ed Rendell is so screwed -- literally.

I don't normally listen to Opie & Anthony looking for breaking news, but astonishingly that's what I just got. A few minutes ago, the cast of the show on Sirius XM radio were interviewing Kristin Davis -- not the one from Sex and the City, the former Manhattan Madam who spent four months in Rikers in connection with the Eliot Spitzer hooker scandal from last year. There's been quite a bit of speculation that her operation at one time serviced another high-profile governor, besides Spitzer, and up until now she's been largely quiet about just who that governor is.

Well, during the interview, she admitted that someone she called "Governor X" employed her services at least ten times during a year-and-a-half period. She apparently wrote his name down on a piece of paper and showed it to Opie and Anthony, who then proceeded to spend the next ten minutes dropping hints that a 4-year-old could've deciphered.

"What, did he pay her in coal and steel?"

"I guess he had a little filly on the side."

"Did he used to be an Eagles scout?"

The whole thing ended with show regular Jim Norton making a hysterical Freudian slip during the plugs for his upcoming gigs.

"I'll be in Pennsylvania this weekend," he said, then corrected himself to the sound of everyone's laughter.

Bottom line: power up the phony contrition machine and the media pile-on -- things are about to get interesting.

I wonder if this

and he wouldn't pay . . .

Anyone who didn't see past the smiling glad-hander to see what Rendell is before now, shame on them.

He was, after all, head of the DNC during the Clinton era. That should say everything you need to know about the guy's ethics.

Word will get around after these last few big cases that the madames are talking.

The Johns don’t just pay for sex, they pay the women to go away after they have sex.

Just Fast Eddie being Eddie. I am sure his Philly voters are cool with it. “That is the Eddie we know and love”.

Did “Fast Eddie” get a refund/discount for being really, really fast? As in, Wham, Bam, Thank You, Ma'am?”

I wonder if Fast Eddie was nick named by the hookers for a performance problem...rather than just being a crook.

Eddies wife is a Federal Judge. Do not think she will take this well.

Anchorwoman cries to Pa. governor

BY CORKY SIEMASZKO

DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER

Tuesday, December 18th 2007, 10:47 PM

Philadelphia anchorwoman Alycia Lane cried on the shoulder of Pennsylvania's governor after she was accused of slugging a Manhattan cop.

A day after she was busted for socking an NYPD officer in the face, Lane called Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell to tell him "her side of the story."

"She didn't ask me for anything," Rendell insisted Tuesday in a Philadelphia radio interview. "She's too smart to think I'm gonna make a call to get her out of trouble."

Rendell said Lane simply "wanted someone to hear her side of the story. I guess she respects me and because she can't get it out publicly," he added.

By the time Lane called Rendell, the fetching brunette had been booked and charged with assaulting Officer Bernadette Enchautegui of the 10th Precinct early Sunday.

Asked if Lane and Rendell are friends, the governor's spokesman, Chuck Ardo, said, "They've known one another for a long time."

Lane, 35, went on Christmas vacation early to deal with her mounting legal problems. For now, KYW-TV, the CBS affiliate where Lane co-anchors the evening news, is sticking by her.

A Long Island native, Lane was in a cab with her boyfriend, ex K-Rock jock Chris Booker, and another couple in Chelsea at 2 a.m. Sunday when she got into trouble.

Miffed at being trapped behind a slow-moving car, Booker climbed out of the cab and marched up to chew out the driver of the other car. That driver turned out to be an undercover cop in an unmarked car, police said.

When Enchautegui ordered Booker back to the cab, Lane allegedly shoved a camera in her face and barked, "I don't give a f--- who you are, I am a reporter, you f------ dyke."

Lane has pleaded not guilty and has an April court date.

The newscaster got into hot water earlier this year when she e-mailed bikini shots of herself to NFL Network anchorman Rich Eisen, who is married.

Rendell conceded that Lane has been radioactive of late. "I do have some empathy for people like Alycia who are in the news because they're under the microscope," he said. "Do you think if Alycia was 60 years old and had gray hair that you'd have heard about this?"
