The author doesn’t get it.

The plan is to create a rift between the US and Israel to force Netanyahu out of power. Last time Netanyahu was PM a rift with the US cost Netanyahu his Israeli popularity.

But so far Rahm’s plan has backfired. Netanyahu’s popularity is increasing ans support around him is consolidating.

Israeli-American Jews didn’t vote for Obama, and diaspora Jews don’t care about Israel or are of the Nevel Chamberline mindset, thinking “peace in our time” is at hand.

Agree. Its one of those Master of the Obvious things. The Conservatives need to make a case that appeals to upper class, intellectual, well educated, sophisticated voters. The Bubbas from Arkansas (not only Bill but Huckabee) simply won't cut it in the modern age. The better educated voter needs substance and expects to see solutions to problems.

In effect, America needs a CEO who can deliver the goods and a board who can fire his/her butt if they don't deliver. This waiting four years to undo a nightmare is insane! Today, government is, in effect, controlled by special interests. The fools in Congress are, at best, mediocre local hacks who, apparently, couldn't find honest work at home. These intellectual lightweights are expected to make complex decisions yet have few intellectual tools. It can't be done. They can't even read the Bills and they, likely, don't understand anyway. So, they rely on staff and staff relies on lobbyists. The people get srcewed every time (look at the "stimulus" joke).

I think, after discussing the situation with many Jewish friends, they are looking for intelligent governance. That's why they are rabidly against Palin. They see her as an airhead. I see her as a charismatic leader with a solid core. Can she govern any better than anyone else? Who knows? But, anything is better than the make believe Chicago boy currently and illegally occupying the White House. Funny how the last two Democrat presidents have been immature goofs. At least Bush was a grown up and understood the importance of decorum in the Oval Office. And... he was actually MORE articulate than the stuttering, stammering Obama.
