Funny...I was just discussing the same thing with an old USAF buddy of mine (from the 60's) the other day. In fact, I have a cousin who's son is a full bird colonel in the Army, and my son is older than him. Amazing.

YES!!! When I was on active duty an 05 was old. (40+)
Now with my son on active duty, 05s look like they might be out of high school.
