The only reason he wants to move on is to prevent these tapes from being released. My guess is they will show him to be the elitist a#$hole he truly is.

Dollars to doughnuts, there's a Kerryesque "Don't you know who I am? up in the middle of all the hystrionics.

You can imagine if that ‘busybody’ neighbor had come over to the Gates residence the next day and said “I thought someone was breaking into your house last night and called 911 and apparently no one showed up”.
Now the uproar from that would have been as bad if not worse than the ongoing turmoil.

Now that he's discovered it's not so easy to trash Crowley's reputation he wants to move one? Like hell . . . Maybe if he issues Crowley a full apology, not before. This crap will only stop when someone--and I hope it's Crowley--makes it stop. I imagine Crowley wishes it was over and done with, but he must pursue this until he gets that apology--or a hefty judgment.

"in the end, this is not about me at all."

The poor soul is entrapped in a seductive net. He is praised and revered by his fellow loonies for projecting his own ethical failings on to others. How difficult it would be to start owning up now.

Another words, “I don’t have a leg to stand on and the President said this will kill the whole socialist agenda we have been concocting the past year with Bill Ayers and George Soros.”

Gates said. "I am pleased that (Obama) he, too, is eager to use my experience as a teaching moment..........

Gag me with a spoon..........

Just what did Obama teach us??? How to step in it and look like an ass without trying? The Chris Rock "How not to get your ass kicked by the police"

I wonder if he understand just how condescending and arrogant that quote sounds to your average American.

“in the end, this is not about me at all.”

I wonder what it’s like to go around thinking everything that happens to you is a symbol for some deeper societal problem, instead of a random event in a not-so-orderly world.

So he doesn't think this has anything to do with members of dem victim groups thinking they're above the law?

The "I'm a victim so I'm too special to be held to the same standards as others" is getting old. Real old.

Might be time for an honest talk.

On the one hand, we have:

“Love’s not Time’s fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle’s compass come:
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.”

On the other:

“Ahh! Me so horny. Me love you long time”

Or maybe that’s not fair, since 2 Live Crew the above quote was not written by any member of 2 Live Crew. But trust me, that’s about as good as it gets.

The Pres. has tipped his hand sooner than he planed on doing it. The cat is out of the bag now.

Does anyone else find it surprising that the media hasn’t tracked down and interviewed any of the witnesses to this...specifically the woman who called 911?

No.. the feces have now been sent to a lab and are being examined. Seems there are some who are checking into his affiliations, tax status, etc. All of which “smell” to high heaven..

Sounds to me that he’s having an ‘oh chit’ moment, in thinking about his scam charity and whatever else he’s doing that’s questionable.

I say we keep the heat on this loser and expose him for just what he is, and obummer, by association

This background story on Dr. Gates, written by Hillel Italie of the Associated Press, was printed in many papers both in the U.S. and abroad. The version I linked is from the Taiwan Times, and ran under the headline Gates, an intellectual drawn back into the arena. My hometown paper, the Charlotte Observer, ran the article under the headline Gates drawn back into racial arena. Nothing sinister about the varying headlines; papers commonly write their own. But what is sinister on the part of the Observer is its curious and highly selective editing.

The Taiwan Times version of the story contained this interesting bit:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To his eventual embarrassment, he wrote in his Yale application:
"As always, whitey now sits in judgment of me, preparing to cast my fate. It is your decision either to let me blow with the wind as a nonentity or to encourage the development of self. Allow me to prove myself."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

That crucial bit of data was edited out of the Charlotte Observer. I wonder why. It certainly seems relevant background information to me. It says a lot about the man that he disparaged "whitey" on his Yale application (it says interesting things about Yale, as well, but that's a discussion for another place). Does he still have a chip on his shoulder? It certainly seems so to me. But why not give the reader all pertinent information? Why edit this very telling bit of information out of the story?
