Sound the Alarm How to stop Burma from getting nukes.
BY CATHERINE COLLINS | JULY 24, 2009
When senior Chinese officials arrive in Washington on Monday for bilateral talks on strategy and the economy, they will find a new item near the top of the agenda: U.S. concerns that North Korea is supplying nuclear weapons technology to Burma. U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton warned of this possibility speaking at the Association of Southeast Asian Nations forum this week in Thailand -- a threat she said the United States takes "very seriously." So seriously, in fact, that Clinton will raise the topic when she meets with her Chinese counterpart, State Councilor Dai Bingguo, on Monday, according to officials at the State Department and in Congress. As one official involved in preparations told me, "Burma is very much on the agenda."
The evidence of malfeasance so far is slight: a North Korean ship bound for Burma that turned back when shadowed by the U.S. Navy, photos of tunnels being excavated near the new Burmese capital, and a handful of suspicious export cases. But the motive is there, a government official who monitors the country told me. "Burma's leaders are paranoid and it makes sense that they might look for security in a nuclear weapon," he said. And if the history of proliferation teaches us anything, it is that the best way to stop a covert nuclear program is by ringing the alarm bells early and often

It seems like Obama’s plan will allow every country, other than the US, to have nukes.

Pres_ _ent Hussein will also remove nukes from all US allies
until the America and it allies are dead, dead, dead, forever.

There appears to be a rift in the Obama Administration. Clinton now saying never to Irans nukes, an about face from Obamas former muslum world OK speech. This administration doesn’t know its left foot from its right foot.

I can’t think of words to fit the acronym that represent the truth of the matter.

I believe Clinton is deliberately countering the WH line on Iran nukes.
What's he going to do, fire the SoS...his bridge to the feminazis? Is he really willing to fire Hillary Clinton...because she's to the RIGHT of him?
Hillary can do as she pleases.

Burma is an overwhelmingly Buddist country, including the ruling military junta. The also have commies and a huge heroin trade and human life isn't worth a plug nickel - and of course they have no need whatever for nuclear weapons - but they are not muslim.

From what I've read, Myanmar's Islamic population is pushing 20% due to the infusion of refugees from Cambodia. Not a few are in the army. They are a restive group, as they are in Thailand.
It's coming.

Some say 4%, some say 20%, some say anything in between, but they are largely an oppressed new minority and not the guys with all the guns running dope and pal-ing around with North Korea and China. Those are ruthless amoral military goons in the tradition of Asian communist totalitarians, not religious fanatics. I dislike misleading attempts to whitewash the rest of the world's hoodlums, pretending Islam invented human depravity; it is a lie.
