So let them publish the names. Who's going to read 138,000 of them. The homo-Gestapo will create a searchable database of the names of petition signers, complete with addresses (complete with maps) and employers - just like they did with Prop 8. You will easily be able to locate all the information necessary to find those in your area to hate face to face if you want to.
Personally, I'd welcome "dialog" with a homo-pig.

You’re brave. Here in L.A., the names were published and they’ve been traumatized regarding Prop 8.

Dogs tend to chase those who run away. Stand for right, and one has no reason to desire anonymity or crave the cover of darkness like a many-legged invertebrate. That's the purview of the other side. So no, no reason to fear this, even if they publish names.

Yeah, if you are going to sign a petition, you must also accept that your name will be on the public record.
The First Amendment is a two-way street.

Just like the Nazis who filmed people patronizing Jewish owned businesses. No, this is nothing like that at all.
It is simply two opposing sides of an issue exercising their First Amendment Rights.

A political group called WhoSigned.Org has already said it will publish online the names of people who signed petitions. The petition-listing effort is not supported by the official campaign trying to keep R-71 off the ballot.Yeah, right. And if you believe that, I have a particular bridge in a Northeastern State that I'd like to sell you....

"I signed it and Im not afraid!!!"Where were you able to sign the petition? I live on the East Side of the state and never did see anyone asking for signatures.

I’ll tell you what: Sacrifice the private ballot in this country, and you all but eliminate the possibility of vote fraud since the public would then be in a position to certify election results. Almost seems worth it in my estimation.

No, this issue is quite simple.
1. One group has the right to petition the government.
2. The other group, knowing that public records are indeed public, can publish the names of citizens that elected to sign a certain petition.
The First Amendment is mighty and grants power to all sides of an issue.

Gotta say - this is one line of attack I’m not sympathetic to. Anytime I’ve signed a petition I always assumed I was standing up to make a public stand for my beliefs. Petitioning government doesn’t and shouldn’t come with some sort of promise of anonymity for the petitioners. We should hope for and ask for people that are willing to stand up even if their names are known. I don’t want supporters that will only support me as long as nobody knows they support me.
