Media Mischief, the Obama Eligibility Issue and the “Dispositive Fact”

Last week, the media was forced into reporting on the Obama birth-certificate/eligibility issue. It had little choice because respected CNN Journalist Lou Dobbs had the audacity to suggest that Obama should produce his long-form birth certificate to put to rest the doubts of millions of Americans who believe Obama is not constitutionally eligible to serve as President. Immediately and predictably, much of the reporting from the main stream media was in the form of vicious attacks, seeking to discredit Mr. Dobbs and others looking for clear and convincing evidence that Mr. Obama is or is not a “Natural Born Citizen” entitling him to serve as President of the United States. Left-wing bloggers and those in the media who have been carry Obama’s water this past year circled the wagons, and calls that Lou Dobbs be fired rang out. I have to salute Lou Dobbs for his courage and sense of ethical responsibility in addressing this issue at all. Of all the CNN commentators, Lou Dobbs is the one who consistently tries to be fair to all sides.

Yesterday, the Los Angeles Times reported that “CNN/U.S. President Jon Klein told staffers at the cable news network Thursday night that the supposed controversy regarding the legitimacy of President Obama’s birth certificate is a “dead” story.” The article went on to report:

…The website TVNewser reported today that Klein sent an e-mail to staffers of “Lou Dobbs Tonight” just as the program went to air, informing them that CNN researchers had determined that Hawaiian officials discarded all paper documents in 2001. A long-form birth certificate with details about the doctor who delivered Obama no longer exists, they reported. The shorter Certificate of Live Birth noting Obama’s birth on Aug. 4, 1961, that has been made public is the official record.

I find this to be unbelievable. I have been pretty much agnostic about this issue but if the thugs are trying something as blatant as this so-called report, then I have to begin to pay attention.

While inquiring minds want to know the reason for Hussein refusing to release a $15 document, I don't think there is anything in it damning to the president. More likely just another peek into the mind of an absolutist radical devoid of a sense of pragmatism.

The whole "foreign place of birth" theory rests on an assumption that no human has access to the records, that Dept. of Vital Statistics employees are of the highest moral and ethical caliber and are politically non-partisan.

One has to believe that while retreiving a 1961 birth certificate for Haku Ōpūnui or Barry O'Brien, no employee would take a peek inside Obama's file either out of their own curiosity or because they were doing so at the behest of a political campaign.

Jon Klein on Birthers: “It Seems This Story is Dead”

TVNewser has learned CNN/U.S. president Jon Klein sent an email to a handful of “Lou Dobbs Tonight” staffers last night regarding the coverage of the so-called birthers and the validity of Pres. Obama’s birth in the U.S.

In part, Klein writes, “It seems this story is dead- because anyone who still is not convinced doesn’t really have a legitimate beef.” Klein asked CNN researchers to dig into the question of why Obama couldn’t produce the original birth certificate. The researchers contacted the Hawaii Health Dept. and confirmed that paper documents were discarded in 2001 when the department went paperless. That reportedly includes Pres. Obama’s original birth certificate.

Well, basically because it's not legally required for Obama or any other candidate to show his birth certificate. What is legally required is for Obama to swear, under oath, that he is a "natural born citizen" and that he meets the qualifications for the Office of President of the United States, per the Constitution -- which he has done, about 50 times in 50 different places...

The controversy rages on. However, it is the pattern of cover-ups that is most unreeling.

Obama may be hiding the original for a different purpose than place of birth. Perhaps it lists a different name, a name he never legally changed. But nevertheless, he definitely has it sealed from the public.

I read somewhere (probably here) that Zero has blocked the release of his Kindergarden records. Someone wrote that those records would include a copy of his BC. If Hawaii did, in fact, destroy all long form BC’s, then perhaps Nobies frigging secret Kindergarden records will contain a BC. Man, it’s so obvious he’s hiding something, it’s not even funny...

When an entity transfers their documents to an "electronic" format, it is not unusual to discard the original documents. HOWEVER, you simply print out a hard copy of the new electronic file document to provide the proof. Why aren't they doing this? It is absolutely NOT because they CAN'T.
