Jeff Sessions: Nominee lacks deep convictions needed to resist judicial activism
President Obamas first nominee to the Supreme Court, Judge Sonia Sotomayor, will likely be confirmed.
But supporters of liberal judicial philosophy might find it a Pyrrhic victory. During three days of careful questioning, Judge Sotomayor renounced the pillars of activist thinking.
She rejected the presidents empathy standard, abandoned her statements that a judges opinions, sympathies and prejudices may guide decision-making, dismissed remarks that personal experiences should affect the facts that judges choose to see, brushed aside her repeated wise Latina comment as a rhetorical flourish, and championed judicial restraint.
Mediocrity. The sign of liberalism.
So does that paper over her obvious bigotry? Sometimes the PC crap just gets too much to take anymore. The judge is a bigot, her rulings tell you so.
This person should not be allowed in the court much less on the bench.
We know she isn’t qualified. It is Sen Grahamnesty who need to have it explained to him. And while you are at it, why don’t you mention the DeLano matter, in which their is probable cause that Sodamier was involved in CRIMINAL activity?
