He is so glad to hobnob with religions that treat women like slaves, but because women cannot serve as deacons he has to sever ties (that he doesn't have) with the SBC. Perfect logic.

I read Carter’s article last week on the Elders.org, and he does criticise other religions, including Islam, for mistreatment of females.
