Great. The signature government-run medical scheme is going bankrupt. Obviously the solution is to have more government-run medical schemes.

That’s not him on the online forum. Obeyme is out playing golf while his pet imbecile, Rahm answers for his master.

"Obama says the Medicare trust fund will be in the red and out of money in a decade unless Washington overhauls the system sucks the life out of the private health care system."

Fixed.

This is the way a ponzie scheme fails when its the government running it. The same reasoning would go for private pension plans, ruining social security by keeping money away from the rest of the deserving seniors.

Meanwhile, when it is our turn to get Medicare, they will just say, you're too old. Why don't you just die. That will go nicely with our payments into Social Security being accessible only after we are 75. The fraud finally comes clear. Just like Bernie Madhoff's people, the ones holding the bag are breathless even though they knew it was too good to be true.

The headline is backwards. It should read:

Medicare threatens existing health system.

Isn’t it actually the other way around?

Doesn’t Medicaid underpay doctors and hospitals, so they have to charge individuals and especially insurance companies more to cover the underpayment?

Medicare trust fund

You know someone's lying to you whenever they use this gem of a phrase. There is no trust fund, just a giant ponzi scheme.

Not sure. They are going to set wage and price controls on salaries in the Obama plan. They will ration care for sure. Even though Medicare underpays, seniors get some kind of care. Obama will send them to a hospice and wish them luck.

there is no constitutional basis for medicare or medicaid, therefore they should not exist. the states should be responsible for deciding if they want to subsidize medical care for the elderly or the poor.

Right there you know he's lying. I guarantee you that there is NO money in the fund now. IF there was, the crooks in Congress would have raided it!
