The first full-length biography in English, of the Italian priest with the stigmata. After years of research, Ruffin has come up with an engrossing look at perhaps this century’s most amazing religious figure. The author, Bernard C. Ruffin, is a Lutheran minister.

The Rainmaker - John Grisham
The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress - RObert A. Heinlein . I want to thank the Freeper who mentioned this in the last Summer Readings thread, it’s been a real good summer page turner so far.

And in the mail to me:
Heaven and Earth: Global Warming, the Missing Science by Ian Plimer

“Blacklisted by History: The untold story of Senator Joe McCarthy”

I had trouble getting started because of so many great new books out there. I'm into this one now. it actually makes me pissed off that this great American’s name has been somehow transformed into some sort of a slur.

Last week I read “Catastrophe” by Dick Morris. Actually I have mixed feelings about that book, though it should absolutely be read by FReepers all. He documents in that work what we all already know, but we did not have the details on.

I’m impressed — and you even got a nonfiction title in there! I’ve been working on two books, “Did Marco Polo Go To China?” (which is pretty much a survey work) and “Bones” (which is about Precolumbian America).

“Gates of Fire”. Had started to read it years ago and never finished. Wish I had. I had a $6 paperback back then. This one cost me 15!

I read a lot of his stuff, good light reading. I have been reading Jim Butchers stuff not bad for mind fornication. I have been reading more fantasy due to the lack of Hard SF for several years.
