In a sign of the effect the nationwide Tea Party movement is having on politics, both the Associated Press and Barack Obama mentioned throngs of protesters outside the Obama town hall meeting held this morning in Raleigh:
The welcome was in contrast to criticism Obama met as his motorcade made its way from the airport to Needham B. Broughton High School. Thick groups of protesters held signs that said "Obamacare is Socialism," "Politicians + Health Care Disaster," and "Hands Off Our Health Care."
In an ad lib from his prepared remarks, Obama mentioned the protesters he saw in Raleigh on his way to the town hall:
"There were some folks cheering, and then were some folks with some signs."
When your opponents acknowledge you, you know you're being effective. Good job Raleigh tea partiers!

The president's trip aimed to promote his plans to overhaul the U.S. healthcare system. He was met by protesters outside the venue waving signs saying "Hands off my healthcare" and "The road to hell: No Obama Care."
Obama’s refusal to release any of his documents that either prove or disprove his eligibility to be President is a double-edged sword. If he were to sue any of us who think he is a commie, marxist, fraud, traitor, America-hater, racist, charlatan, puppet for George Soros, then all of those documents would be discoverable in a court of law. This means that he can be accused by the American people and our websites of every unethical move he makes or has made and he dare not allow himself to come under any court of competent jurisdiction.
I WANT THAT FRAUD OUT OF MY WHITE HOUSE!
I don't have time to do the photo-posting; can one of y'all do that?
His advisor, Dr. Ezekiel Emmanuel, is big on rationing.
I refer to it as "Government Health Control".
Great find! I don’t know how to link photos either, but here’s a paragraph from that blog that cracked me up.
“The protest was civilized on both sides, except for the one lady on the opposite side who kept shouting Loser! Loser! and Our President is in the White House, where is your President? If she represents the intellect and maturity of the Pro-ObamaCare Movement, Im even more glad to be on the other side.”
Where’s our President? Beware socialists, she’s coming.
Agreed. But I also think TEA parties outside the major news media buildings would get attention. The media cannot ignore the crowds then as they have done at the other locations. They would have to walk through them and be surrounded by them, hear them as they work, etc.
We also need to counter any protest/rally by the 'in your face' ACORN bunch.
I can’t pull up the pictures. Any crowd estimates?
Great find! Tons of pictures.

Typical commie-symp media...they make it look like four or five showed up to protest; when the TRUTH can be seen at the photos posted at American Elephant’s blog...never say die, SRM.
“Thick groups”?
Look at the guy holding up an Empty Suit!!!!!
...A pitchfork with a toilet plunger on the other end makes an excellent sign carrying device for tea party rallys. An all purpose tool I carry around with me these days...
