These “birthers,” as they have come to be known, allege that Obama is ineligible to be president because he was not born in the United States. Despite overwhelming proof that Obama is in fact native born – including an official birth certificate from the state of Hawaii – the birthers movement persists in claiming otherwise.

Wrong Jamie. The document is a Certification of Live Birth. It is not a birth certificate. The former does not include the hospital where he was born, the attending physician nor the date an time, all of which are on the birth certificate.

Of course BO could end this in a heart beat by producing his birth certificate. Instead he continues to defy the Constitution by spending more than a million dollars on a team of lawyers to prevent showing his BC. Get used to it Jamie because the issue is growing.

“Instead he continues to defy the Constitution”

One has to prove that he is in fact defying the Constitution. There is no way to do that unless there is a federal law laying out a requirement for him to release his records for this purpose, or if a court can be convinced to order it.

I'm looking at an official copy of my birth certificate:Ohio Department of Health, Certificate of live Birth". It indicates place of birth, usual residence of mother, full name of child, date of birth father of child (full name, race, birthplace, occupation business (same for mother); children etc, mothers mailing address, signatures of mother, physician and registrar.

What is missing from the Big O's info? "Certificate of Live Birth" is a birth certificate.

I find it ironic this author is labeling “birthers” but finds it unnecessary to label anyone else.
