Since I agree with FDR that if it happens in politics it was planned, one of two things is going to happen.
If Obama is supposed to stay in office for eight years (his path having been greased for decades) then the birther perplexion will disappear like Hillary's billing files and Vince Foster's pulse. After all this time, any intelligence unit worth it black budget should have been able to sweep clean his birth certificate which will then be publicly displayed to make us look like lunatics. (This is another good reason to base our questions on the legitimate definition of "native born" and also to question his mother's age and his own dual citizenship; all questions Pelosi and Kennedy should have asked and answered.)
How was his close friendship with Farrakahn and the Nation of Islam completely ignored? Was this why Jeremiah Wright was permitted to be front and center? At least Wright calls himself a Christian. Obama's roots are amazingly muslim. A mere eight years after 9/11 and somehow this country elects a man whose family is muslim, who was adopted by a muslim, and who was muslim himself.
OTOH if the missing BC and assorted records and paperwork (demanded of all Presidential contenders) prove to be O's undoing, then this, too, was set up to erode the Constitution and open the door for any old non-American, "citizen of the world" to reside in the White House, sovereignty be damned.
Under this scenario, the SC will let him stay in office till 2012 (fearing riots in the street,) thereby nullifying the Constitutional requirement for POTUS.
Everyone should read his "autobiography." There are mixed-up dates and bizarre errors throughout it. Obama thinks he sits on the banking committee. He thinks he met his wife in the classroom. He is covering up so much he must be in a perpetual state of confusion. Or sleep-walking. And waking a sleepwalker can be dangerous.

I'm not so sure this is going to disappear. Had this been thirty years ago none of this would have been discussed. We would have had three corrupted news outlets all focused in on beer summits. The case of Vince Foster was almost 16 years ago. As Iran and Saudi Arabia have found out, the Internet is growing day by day and is a big threat to totalitarian regimes.
The reason the birthers are gaining ground is because of the Internet. News medias are finding that they HAVE to talk about it. The more they dismiss it, the more questions that are being raised.
BTW-I thought it was a hoot that Bill O'Reilly stated that he knows Lou Dobbs is wrong about the birth certificate because he's "seen the evidence". Someone then challenged O'Reilly to produce the evidence that he has seen. Fair challenge. It difficult to let something like that slide if thousands of people are pinging a site.
Yes, that could very well be their attempt. I'm wondering if they haven't already painted themselves into a corner by waiting this long. If after all the coverage on this they now produce a BC that at least appears valid on its face, and then tries to laugh at us, our response can be "then why did it take you all these months for something so simple. So much for Mr. Transparency!". :) I think we should keep pushing this.

Yes, and I don't actually see him practicing any particular faith at all, unless one counts liberal ideology as a faith. If I was surveyed and asked if I thought he was a Christian I would say I don't know. His words and his actions rarely match.

I'll have to do that. I had no idea there were those kinds of errors in his own book. Maybe the Biden effect kicked in and he wrote everything right, but then still got 30% of it wrong. :)
Yeah, I saw him say that on the air too. Made him look real bad and sloppy. Even with just a little homework anyone can see that it's reasonable to ask questions. If O'Reilly is so sure of himself I wonder why he hasn't had the "Is it Legal" ladies take a look. I don't think I've heard either of them trash the "birthers" before.
Lou Dobbs? I doubt he "went rogue" on CNN but they have to act like it.
My guess is the Obama WH offended the wrong people,(Israel) or Pelosi did, (CIA)and if this isn't the real thing, somebody has a real hammer somewhere
