Is it even possible for folks in that part of the world to “gather” without someone getting shot or beaten?!

Not when you have a government backed group like the Basijj around. Coming soon to a neighborhood near you. Our Basijj will be called AmeriCorps.

And, of course, -12bama can’t bring himself to utter so much as a word of support to the protesters, because that’s “meddling.” He sure as hell didn’t mind throwing a monkey wrench into Kenya’s societal fabric by supporting his pal Odinga, which led to thousands being killed. He won’t say anything to rile Chavez, but craps on the constitutionalists in Honduras for doing the right thing by tossing their dictator out the door.

Why the rampant hypocrisy, -12bie?

It’s Shi’ite tradition to hold public mourning ceremonies on the 40th day after someone is killed—called Arba’in (Arabic for 40). Today’s the 40th day since Neda was shot, yet the riot police are going against their own traditions. “It’s tradition only when we want it to be.” LoL. The regime is starting to contradict itself in order to preserve itself. Its days are numbered.
