Personally,I think the Native Americans should get their due.
They do, at the end of each month.
Native Americans enjoy huge Casino profits without
the burden of paying a cent in taxes. I’d call it
more than even.
What in your mind are we due? I call myself an American Indian (as apposed to India Indian) not Native American which many if not most of you here are. I don’t mean to put you on the spot, I am interested in your views on this.

You make a valid point. Unfortunately the ‘tribes’ have fallen for the welfare, ‘victim’ mentality. I would like to remind the race baiters like Obama, Wright, Gates, Jackson, etc. that blacks got the right to vote in 1870. Native Americans got it years later, after women, in 1925.
My grgrgrandfather, a Cherokee, was a lawyer,a constitutionalist, an educated man named after James Madison, who wanted nothing more than to be an “American” with ‘equal rights’. He was born in 1826, died in 1915...88 years in this country and never got to vote.

Yesterday there was an article about the first Native American US attorney, who has just been replaced. With all this clamoring about the ‘wise Latina’ being the first Supreme Court Justice, it does become annoying. I guess the Injuns just haven’t learned to whine and demand and intimidate like the blacks and hispanics have...yet.
