A black sergeant who was at the home of Harvard scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. when he was arrested says he's been maligned as an "Uncle Tom" for supporting the actions of the white arresting officer. Cambridge Sgt. Leon Lashley gave a letter to Sgt. James Crowley to give to President Barack Obama during their so-called beer summit with Gates on Thursday night at the White House. In the letter, which was also sent to CNN, Lashley says Gates "may have caused grave and potentially irreparable harm to the struggle for racial harmony." Lashley says he has become known as a traitor to his heritage by some because he "spoke the truth" about the arrest. Gates was charged with disorderly conduct by police investigating a burglary. The charge was later dropped.

Crowley at his press conference was awesome! Articulate and put rest any thoughts the left had that he was some dumb thick skulled Irish cop. I loved when they asked what Obama contributed to the event and he said the beer!!! He owned the press, and between Lashley and Crowley they put Gates and Obama in their place.

I believe he is, but more so against our wonderful nation than against whites.

I just about had a conniption in the car when I listened to a snippet on the news. Obama was addressing the media about the upcoming ‘beer’ and said something like: “Three fallible people will be meeting to share a beer.” I can’t remember it verbatim...but I thought...he is STILL saying the police officer is WRONG! Gawd, I hate him.
If anyone comes across the sound byte, give me a buzz.
So ridiculous — they had to ask Biden to balance out Crowley.
And then he invited Biden so Gates, Crowley and Biden were fallible and The O was exempt.
