Seeing how I have personal experience in the matter, I see quite the disturbing coincidence between my going on CNN in 2005 and the rather intolerant (and that's putting it mildly) response from their viewers, and the rather intolerant response to black Cambridge Police Sgt. Leon Lashley after his interview on that channel.
Because of that interview, Sgt. Lashley has become the latest recipient of America's "Uncle Tom" award. Is it a coincidence or a pattern illustrating the racial bias and hate that infects their viewers? As CNN must know their audience better than anyone, are they intentionally pulling the right strings?

It's like there's a tug-o’-war between those who want to see blacks live up to their fullest potential and those who can gain from keeping them down on the plantation. Some of those in the latter group do so out of pure ignorance of how their attitudes are helping the race pimps keep them down.
I am appalled at the tone of conversation I'm hearing these days on various talk shows. The absolute, pure hatred of whites and the willingness to blame all of their problems on whitey and racism on whitey's part has reached a new high in America. I know and work with so many black individuals who have risen above this mentality but seem reluctant to speak up for themselves to those who exhibit it for fear of retribution.
It's much like the situation with Muslims, until the ‘moderate’ ones take a stand and speak up and out they will continue to be painted with the broad brush of those who are militant and outspoken.
I have heard a couple of sound bytes with this officer and he sure seems like the kind of officer I would want on the force in my city or beside me on the street!
In the coming civil unrest I would be honored to fight alongside him.
Well written, ping for later.
Great job, sir!
So you see that too? I fear there has been created a sub-culture in America that will never sit still and accept an end to the entitlement programs that have been their sole source of support for two or three generations. I saw a report recently about the number of young blacks who have never had a relative that works for a living. Grandmother, daughter, granddaughter living on the public dole with nary a man in their lives. And when it's a son rather than a daughter that person is condemned to a life on the street. I know this is a generalization, but it describes enough of today's population in most big cities that it simply must be taken into consideration if America is going to have a future.
And it's really not a racial thing at all. Show me any 16-year-old school dropout who is a single mom and you're looking at someone condemned to a life of poverty, regardless of race. Race comes into it when the Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton’s of the world get involved and give them an easy out by assuring them it's because they are black and whitey is out to keep them down.
I fear the day when the unrest breaks out. It's going to be the Rodney King response all over America, not just in LA.
Thanks, Bob, always look forward to your insightful posts.
Great job Bob!
Now, you know you should never wander off the democrat plantation, right? You see, that reaction you got was all your fault. Understand?

I don’t think it’s “2 or 3 generations”.
A “welfare generation” probably averages 15-16 years, not the traditional 30.
I am not looking forward to it, and it is gonna cause a lot of suffering and sadness, but it may be the only opportunity to return our great country to it's roots and restore the values that made our country great.
Or we can opt out, and simply sit at home and watch American Idol while our nation is reduced to a cross between France and Zimbabwe.
Of course they are.
1) Divide and conquer.
2) Stir up hatred and civil unrest for political purposes and perhaps pure ‘enjoyment’
3) Make your opponents blink on health care, COLB, cap ‘n tax
4) Focus on hyphenated Americans, especially Blacks, in re class envy to recapture sinking support from the successful and 50+ year old Blacks
Calling someone and “Uncle Tom” is a powerplay. The people who use the term don’t want to discuss the point, they want the black person with a differing view to shut up.
It’s funny that liberals say a black (or Hispanic) should think a certain way or they “aren’t black (or Hispanic) enough.” By defining how one should think, they create a stereotype, that if violated must be punished.
No racism there. If minorities dare stray off the plantation, the libs/media must give them 20 lashes....

you’d have to go far to find a better definition of “pathetic” than Soledad O’Brien’s half-fast effort to defend Obama and Gates on the Lou Dobbs program
That just about sums it up completely. Liberals are obsessed with race issues, and bring them to the forefront whenever they can. The argument can be made there race is ALWAYS involved in some ways, which might be true, but then there are other issues that can ALWAYS be said to be involved, be it politics, culture, etc, that they never bring up which are just as valid, if not more so.
There are lots of words and tactics from the left whose sole intent is to silence any discussion of the topic.
When they do this, you know they are in the weak position (they ALWAYS are, so ALWAYS do).
Time to make it stop working. Keep talking. Call them on their use of shields. Tell them you know they’re doing it because they are on thin ice and can’t defend their position.
