You’re referring to The Evergreen State College, and I am a graduate- 1988.

It was an interesting experience to say the least. Believe it or not, I considered myself to be a pretty far-left liberal when I started gong there, but quickly was outed as being far too right for many of my classmates. Oh, the stories I could tell.

But, I have to admit that most of the students who go there, REALLY care about their subjects, they are motivated, interesting, complex people.

It’s not all bad— and hey— it helped turn me into a conservative.

I was reminded of Rachel Corrie, last week, because her mother speaks for a group called, United for Peace and Justice. Evergreen exported the Peace and Justice Group to Western WA Univ. and we have had to listen to them rant, ever since.

Their latest efforts (besides sponsoring a talk by Cindy Sheehan, had to do with making Bellingham a sanctuary city for AWOL soldiers. It was led by an unstable veteran, named Evan Knappenberger, who made death threats against Michelle Malkin and Anne Coulter and then went on to abuse his wife. Peace and Justice stood behind him and claimed that he had PTSD, except no ever claimed that before he abused his wife.
