Dunno... I guess it was just the pump automatics that were double super extra-illegal.

Well the automatic pump ones, i think. Then there’s the issue of the retractable stock and amo belt. In the aggregate, clearly a threat. Just learning to operate a belt fed automatic pump shotgun could represent a formidable challenge to any citizen.

No, but you need a state issued permit to buy one, and another to carry it, but not in ones home, place of business, or going to and from a licensed range, with the weapon unloaded and locked away. They are also registered.

Wanna bet this one wasn't registered, and the guy wielding it did not get a permit to purchase it, nor one to carry it.

But of course police training and tactics were fine, according to the "director".

Jersey City Police Director Sam Jefferson said the incident went according to training police officers receive, despite the seemingly violent outcome of the shootout.
