Officers were tracking the two people seen in a surveillance video robbing and shooting a man last month. But they said the suspects -- Hassan Shakur and Amanda Anderson -- were ready for them and armed with lethal firepower.

This isn't a gun control problem. This is a problem with poor police tactics and command. Why did they let these officers walk into such a dangerous situation? In a month they didn't have plenty of opportunity to take these guys down without a gun battle like this?
