Good catch. I first went there in 1955 and several times since, with the last in 1990. I then took my thirteen and ten year old kids, climbed to the crown.

It was a fantastic experience every time.

That stair climb was and still is something else.

What a National Gem. I am just happy those 9/11 a$$holes did not target her.

If the white tent/building can do anything to protect Lady Liberty, that's okay with me.

I don't know. I've been asking but the State Owned News Media has not addressed the basic question ("How did the Cop and Skip get to Washington?").

Nothing new there, of course.

Cost of visit: transportation $200,000; beer $5; an exchange between the Cop, Skip, Plugs and Zer0 was not PRICELESS but PRICEY and it is our freaking money.

Gen Meenan questions Scott (the planner in this email trail) on Sat April 25h. Says NY populous can be sensitive to low flying planes due to 9/11.

Reply is that they (PAG) have been concerned about this and as a result have done substantial coordination.

Two notes:
In SE corner of Racetrack

Begins orbit at 1357Z: Mode 3 2115: Mode C 600 ft

In NW corner of Racetrack

Leaves orbit at 1408Z: Mode 3 3054 : Mode C 2,000 ft

1357 zulu time
East coast should be 5 hours ahead of zulu time.
So perhaps they started at 3 minutes to 11.

Check on daylights savings time. Could be a 10am start.

The quit at 8 minutes after.

So they only shot for 12 minutes?

Perhaps they were forced to quit early.

AF1 photo shoot with DCANG F16

The DCANG will be taking photographs of Air Force 1 over the Statue of Liberty on Monday, 27 Apr 09, 1000-10303L.
2 F16s will participate; one D model from MGM with a photographer, one C model for an AF1/F16 photo op.
All required approvals have been accomplished with the White House, FAA and public affairs by the PAG.

On page 439, we learn that the fighter pilots knew about this way back on March 7th.

The photo shooter is/was a major with the 121.

Project is billed as a ‘high visibility project’ and a top priority of BFG JOHNSON. Now who is BFG JOHNSON?
