I was standing beside one of those at an air show, looking down into the cockpit at the amazing clutter of switchology in there. The pilots were standing nearby doing their Air Force PR duty when a couple of wise ass Phantom pilots walked by and yelled “what’s that thing gonna be when it grows up?”. The Tweetie pilots could only grin back, but it was one of those mirror-sunglasses Tom Cruise Top Gun kind of grins. It made my day.

Take out the military stuff, add a glass cockpit, make it a 4-seater, and you can mount your luggage on the hard points!

Then apply for TARP money to top off the tanks.

Thanks for the ping. The Air Force got a fine return on that investment.
