They're a lot of fun, but you think it's bad hauling out the Hoppe's No. 9 and the Breakfree for ONE barrel . . . try TEN!
You probably should look for a repro, an original will set you back 20-30 grand.

Big difference in production, takes, and budget between a feature film and a TV series. They have to do it on the fly or it wouldn't be cost effective.
I've been involved in some low-budget educational films, and the question is 'can we get by without a retake?' Especially when you've got amateurs involved, you take what you can get.

Yes, that was him. The last few times they had him on he was getting pretty feeble. I recall him describing the time he was seriously wounded.
Fascinating old guy.

As a gal who's been shooting for awhile (since I was handed my first .22 rifle at the age of 6) I think you'll find there's always something new to learn!
I always thought of the Vickers as sui generis but learned from this show that it was a copy of the Maxim. Now I want to see side-by-side exploded diagrams . . . .

I picked it up just as they touched off the Napoleon Gun.

I don’t know, but at civilian prices it would cost! My guess is that it was a chance for a rich guy to show off his toy.

The MG and arty episodes were good. (It did my heart good to hear "FIRE MISSION!" again).
Have there been others?

I passed on the Ermey-thon Fri ‘cause I've seen ‘em all about five times. In my opinion, the Mail Call episodes were better because of his snarky comment to the victims who sent him the questions were so unique.

I know, but somebody mentioned him flying a B2 and I didn’t remember that from the episodes I saw....thought I might have missed one.

>>But I look at Ermey on “Mail Call” or “Lock and Load” and then I look at his masterpiece of a performance in “Full Metal Jacket” and it's just a little disappointing.<<
Every time I watch the boot camp part of the movie, I'm ROTFLMAO. Brings back so many memories of my days at Parris Island (Platoon 102, 1959)

What said was you could take one apart and make a still out of the parts.
To: Non-Sequitur
