"Axis of Weasels" The Four Blue Dogs Who Voted with Henry Waxman
Entitlement Syndrome ^ | 08/02/2009 | Scott Michaels

Here they are, boys and girls. The four "moderate-conservative" House Dems on Henry Waxman's Energy and Commerce Committee who had their choker chains pulled by Nancy Pelosi and the rest of the lefty leadership in the lower chamber and ended up voting to approve a version of Obamacare that promises higher costs, lower quality and restricted access:

Mike Ross (Arkansas), 4th District (202) 454-5262

Baron Hill (Indiana), 9th District (202) 285-0966

Zack Space (Ohio), 18th District (202) 347-3042

Bart Gordon (Tennessee), 6th District 1-800-444-BART

I did some checking, and one of the reasons why a few of the above probably caved and went with Waxman is because of the uninsurance rate in each of their districts. Mike Ross's comes in at 21.8 percent, Bart Gordon's at 17.3 and Zack Space's at 16.8

The median in all Blue Dog districts won by John McCain last November is 14.6 percent. Baron Hill's comes in at 13.0, which is the only one of the four not to be above that median.

Also, a little more checking reveals that Bart Gordon, Mike Ross and Baron Hill apparently like their travel perks. The two were part of a bipartisan group of 10 Democrat and 3 Republican House members who took part in a junket that traveled to Brussels, Belgium back in February, ostensibly to check in how the peasants were running things over at NATO headquarters.

Coincidentally, I'm sure, it seems they also managed to squeeze in a little fun and games in the Bavarian Alps; Paris, France (what, not Paris, Texas?); and Vienna Austria while they were at it. Here's the group of happy travelers:

See the list, plus a list of every Blue Dog Dem in a district won by John McCain, at Entitlement Syndrome.

Okay people, the targets have been identified. They need to be voted out. If these scum are in your voting district, get the word out on them.
Its time for the traitors to go.

No reason to focus on just these Blue Dogs. All of the others would have voted along party lines had their vote been needed. Blue Dogs are Democrats...and are only conservative by Pelosi standards. When allowed, they vote conservative now and then...just enough to keep their constituents fooled.

Check the ACU ratings on the Blue Dogs and you will find they are all to the left of the Rinos that are despised on this site.

All the Blue Dogs and their phone numbers are over at that Entitlement Syndrome sight.

GetLiberty.org is going to have a massive Recess Rally on August 22nd to get the message to these folks that they work for US not us for THEM.

I don't live in Space-cadet’s district but no matter what he does or doesn't do I think he'll have that seat for life if he wants it. He “won” it (more like had it handed to him) from the ‘Pubs after Bob Ney got himself in trouble in the Abramoff scandal. That so poisoned the waters for ‘Pubs over in that district that I think I won't see another ‘Pub in there in my lifetime. The state party is still in a shambles after the debacles in ‘06 and ‘08. If Obama continues to screw up it may have a chance at a comeback, but my instincts are against it. OH is trending leftward, and that is bad, bad news on the national scene.

McCain still won Space’s district in ‘08 and I think Obama’s below 50% in approval rating in OH. My wife’s from the West Salem area and people are steamed about things there.

Call them tomorrow 24/7 and tell them that the word traitor means. It also means, “you’re toast.”

I think that's it's about time the we and everybody stop with this "blue dog" nonsense.

What those democrats are is liberal. What they're doing is trying to play both sides of the fence because they are part of the most vulnerable democrats who will have to answer to the voters next year.

So, they pretend to be conflicted and torn about health-care, and then, when it matters to the votes in congress, they'll "cave" in like was their intention the whole time.

Meanwhile, those "blue dogs" will hope that the voters will have bought into their attempt to appear non-partisan and right-of-center, and will vote them in again. Those "blue dogs" are not looking out for the voters; they're looking out for their own jobs and for the democrats majority.

I have no doubt that, it's all probably part of a devious plan where even the leadership, including Pelosi, are telling those "blue dog" democrats to start playing defense in order to try to retain those seats in 2010.

Agreed. The Americans for Liberty Alliance wants to hold a nationwide rally at 12 noon on August 22nd in front of every Congressperson’s office to let them know what we think about this nonsense they’re getting up to.

I’m organizing one in front of my Congressman’s office for that day. If anybody else is interested in finding out more just go to http://recessrally.com

This needs to be grassroots and very vigorous. The only thing our elected leaders seem to understand is when we all speak with one voice.

The horse is already out of the barn. Waxman/Pelosi only needed these guys to get the bill out of committee. She can pass the final bill without their votes. They may even vote against the final bill. Of course, if you live in their districts you can vote against them, but you probably already did that last time

Well, good for them. It’s still a fight that needs to be brought to the enemy, though. They can be outcycled, outfought and and out-thought, and pretty easily, at that.

They’re not supermen and women and they’ll fold if they’re pressed. Concerted dissent, in their faces at their offices and with a clear message that they’ll answer at the ballot box (especially those Blue Dogs from McCain districts), are the tools we have in our toolboxes and we need to use them fully and thoroughly.

Yeah...he’s kind of a pretty tame lapdog once he gets back to DC. I’m amazed a Dem even gets elected dogcatcher down in the Lone Star state, though. What’s up with that? He from Austin or something? ;-)

Chet Edwards

nah..... he's worse. He plays up the "I'm a real Texan bullsh#t and I'm gonna fight for yewwwwww. Then he drags up the VA in Waco and holds it hostage by saying that, 'I'm fightin' so hard for yewwwww and I'm a gonna really save the hospital in Waco." As if the Republicans are going to throw the vets out in the street.

His first vote after he was elected this time was to vote to CUT the funding for the troops in Iraq. Then he tried to get the vice-Presidential nomination and was going around yapping about "change". This guy is the biggest fraud and it is NEVER shown on the news or in the paper. The guy that ran against him looked like a deer caught in the headlights.

This area is very conservative but believes most guys are honorable. That's why nobody gets in this guys grill and just calls him out. Makes me want to PUKE everytime I see this douche bag on the television.
