I like how some skeptics are claiming EF Lavender is a name of a soap.
SO, it could be a real name or it could be fake as a joke about the name of the soap.
It still gives rise to asking for it to be authenticated.
Looks like Mr. Lavender had a very long career as a bureaucrat.
I can’t remember his name now, it’s on the tip of my tongue gut I just can’t pull it out of memory...
Anyhow, back in my Navy days, there was a naturalized American sailor from Africa who was named after a very popular commercial food product.
His parents were illiterate and they used the product a lot so they could remember how to spell it.

We can play name games all day long. Like Barney Frank is the name of a hotdog, or Bush and Quayle was the name of a hunting magazine? I could go on and on. I don’t have a problem with that name, even though, I too am skeptical of the entire document since I hate to be made a fool of.
