I kinda remember a Senate race where Obama opponent was a guy name Ryan. He had a nasty divorce with his actress wife Jeri Ryan. Somehow the Chicago newspaper (at the behest of the city Democrat machine) got a judge to unseal the opponent’s divorce records. This exposed some very embarassing charges which resulted in Ryan pulling out of the Senate race.
